Project Overview

Technique Roofing has proudly partnered with Olmsted Falls City Schools for over a decade, servicing over 475,000 square feet of roofing across four district buildings. This multi-phase project included new installations, coating applications, annual inspections, budgeting support, and a recent high-profile construction collaboration involving Turner Construction.

Our work not only delivered best-in-class roofing systems; it also saved the district over $100,000 through strategic contract reallocation and vendor collaboration.

Scope of Work

• Installation of 50 mil Duro-Last Roofing Membrane Across multiple school buildings, we provided high-performance, energy-efficient PVC membrane systems backed by a 20-year NDL warranty.
• Duro-Shield Roof Coating Applications On aging roofs that didn’t require full replacement, we applied Duro-Shield silicone coatings to extend life and prevent leaks, covered by 10–15 year warranties.
• Annual Roof Inspections & Planning We conduct proactive annual inspections to monitor system performance, identify potential issues early, and help school officials develop accurate maintenance budgets.
• Budgeting & Lifecycle Planning By working closely with the district’s business officials, we help forecast future needs and reduce long-term costs through preventative planning.

Construction Collaboration: Turner Project Case Study

One of the largest recent challenges involved a major remodel at one of the schools, managed by Turner Construction, a national general contractor. While Turner initially included the roofing in their package, the project’s budget quickly exceeded expectations.

Technique Roofing stepped in to reprice the scope and proposed a revised solution that preserved quality while eliminating unnecessary costs. After presenting our findings to school officials, the district chose to remove the roofing scope from Turner’s contract and award it directly to us.
